About Heaven
I have many labels but my favourite so far is being a mother. I have worked hands on with women for over a decade, and have no plans to stop. To witness women in all seasons, all experiences and through many rites of passage - it is a true gift.
I am originally from Ontario but made the move out to Alberta permanently back in 2021. I am now rooted here with my Aussie hubby and our toddler. The mountains are home.
I started my work with women as an Esthetician and have been doing that for over a decade, you may have seen me over at Valley Brows. To some, I am just a brow lady, but to most, I am the woman that holds many secrets, has wiped many tears and who has promised softness and compassion. I didn’t know when I became an esthetician that it would allow me to witness the many stages of women who come to see me… and I absolutely love it.
After my birth, I became obsessed with it. To walk through the portal and come out anew, stronger, more driven, yet softer, more feminine and fierce… it felt so empowering and yet I felt like this power was “brushed off”. The Postpartum time was tough, and I got lost in it all and am only finally just recovering the new version of me. I believe in my heart that it doesn’t need to feel this way.
Through this work and my own life experiences, I noticed a gap. An absence of something in all of it. The Village. The women who hold the wisdom to have a place to go to be held, heard and honoured.
In modern society, we often forget the value that the mother brings to the table… and my goal is to celebrate that more. To have a place where The Mother is the forefront. Where The Mother can go to heal, laugh, cry and be honoured.
“When women gather in circle, we remember who we are and let go of who we are told to be.”
